My daughters cat recently was diagnosed with cancer. After many tests it was determined to be caused by the feline leukemia vaccine. Evidently, this occurs in about 1 in 10,000 cats. The upside to this tramatic ordeal, both to cat & her family, has been that the vaccine companies have reimbursed my daughter for about 95% of the cost of the treatment & surgery (her leg was removed). Unfortunately after further testing the cat now should have chemotherapy. Currently, Suki, the beloved pet is doing very well in recovery from her surgery. Not sure what the future holds. My daughter & family are taking this one day at a time.
